John Bailey – The Kingfisher Diaries

June 2nd 2010

Stop Press!

We are pretty excited that we are very soon going to open an onsite shop here at Kingfishers. It's early days so don't expect an emporium. However, we will be stocking a significantly useful range of bait supplied initially by Dynamite that could prove a lifesaver for our holiday-makers. No more tedious treks into the city.

At the shop you will also be able to hire your unhooking mats (pardon the English flag pattern!) if you haven't brought one with you. We are renting them out for £10 for the duration, repayable on return.

We are also going to put together a small range of gear set up for beginners. This means that if you're coming to Kingfishers and want to give fishing a whirl then you don't have to go to all the expense of buying the kit. Suck it and see for a few quid a day.

Also in the shop will be a selection of Bailey Books! These are all from John's own collection and they are all signed and often individually annotated. A real dream for the book collector. You can also find these books for sale at our online shop.

We are also hoping to team up with the internationally famous fish artist, David Miller. We will be offering both prints and original art work based on David's vision of the fish and the fishing here at Kingfisher. Again, something really unique. Perfect both as a reminder of your stay and a real bonus for the serious collector.

And there are a lot more surprises to come so do watch this space!
